How to Apply to ASPIRE at Connolly
2026-2027 Application NOW OPEN!
As a choice school, ASPIRE at Connolly requires all students to apply to attend.
NEW Requirements for the 2026-2027 School Year
- Incoming 6th-8th grade students MUST score at 97% or higher in at least one area on a state board approved test for gifted identification OR
-
Incoming 6th-8th grade students must score at 94% or higher in at least one area on a state board approved test for gifted identification with an 85th percentile or higher in at least one additional area.
PLEASE NOTE: DO NOT fill out the 2025-2026 application for the 2026-2027 school year.
Current 2025-2026 School Year Applications
Students must meet the following criteria:
- Gifted qualification at 94th percentile or higher in at least one area on a state board approved test for gifted identification*
- 85th percentile or higher in at least one additional area on a state board approved test for gifted identification*
*This criteria applies to both in- and out-of-district student applications.
Applications will be reviewed as they are submitted. Parents will be notified by email if their child has been accepted or placed on a waitlist. Pending acceptance, parents will be notified with next steps.
If your child currently attends a school within Tempe Elementary Schools, school administration has access to and will review the documents pertaining to minimum qualification criteria. If your child is not currently attending a school within Tempe Elementary Schools, please send all requested qualification files to christina.lawson@tempeschools.org.
Transportation Information
A transportation request form will be provided to all students who will be attending ASPIRE Academy at Connolly in the 2026-2027 school year.
Transportation is not guaranteed due to limited space. There are currently stops at Frank, Fuller, Holdeman, Nevitt, Scales, Shamley, Wood, and Scudder Park (Rover/Fees).
